The Oakland Hot Sauce is a spiced up blend of some of Northern California’s most defining flavors: fresh peppers, garlic, carrots, and California raisins. This jalapeño/serrano mixed sauce will add a real touch of heat.
Made from peppers grown by gardens in Oakland and Sacramento — this sauce is possible thanks to the hard work of the International Rescue Committee New Roots Farm program, which integrates refugees through urban farming initiatives in California.
Small Axe Peppers is made with peppers grown in more than 100 community gardens in 15 cities across the United States. To date, they have sourced more than 40,000 pounds of locally grown peppers from these community gardens, which have social missions that strengthen the fabric of vibrant urban neighborhoods. Each bottle purchased directly supports the gardens and gardeners who grow peppers for these hot sauces.
